Terms of Service
1. Who we are
Infinity Problem is operated by Infinity Problem LLC, an Oregon limited liability company ("Infinity Problem", "we", "us"). These Terms cover infinityproblem.com, the DEV Team membership, and everything that comes with it: courses, sample packs, plugins, the Manifold rack instrument, SIM and the music catalog. 2. Agreeing to these Terms
By creating an account, buying a membership or using the site, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy and Refund & Cancellation Policy. If we make a material change, we'll post it here and email members at least 14 days before it takes effect. Continuing to use the membership after that date means you accept the change.
3. Who can join
You must be 18 or older to buy a membership. Teens aged 13 to 17 may use a membership bought by a parent or guardian who agrees to these Terms and is responsible for the teen's use. The site is not for anyone under 13.
4. Your account
Give us accurate information and keep your password private. A membership is for one person. Sharing your login, or letting others use your account, is not allowed. You are responsible for activity on your account. Tell us right away if you think someone else has access to it.
5. The DEV Team membership
Your membership gives you access to the content and tools we offer to members at the time, including the Ableton Live course, the Infinity Samples library, our plugins and Manifold, SIM, and the Infinity Problem catalog. We add, update and sometimes retire content. Release dates we show for upcoming courses, plugins or records are estimates, not promises.
6. Prices, billing and automatic renewal
The membership costs $20 per month or $200 per year (USD), plus any applicable tax. Your membership renews automatically at the end of each billing period, and you authorize us to charge your payment method for each renewal at the then-current price until you cancel. Payments are processed through Squarespace and its payment partners; we don't see or store your full card number.
Free trial. Members who join on or before October 31, 2026 get free access until then. A payment method is required at signup. Unless you cancel before November 1, 2026, your membership will convert automatically to the paid monthly plan and you will be charged $20 on November 1, 2026 and every month after that until you cancel. We'll email you a reminder before your trial ends.
Annual plans. We'll email you a reminder before an annual membership renews.
Price changes. We'll give you at least 30 days' notice by email before a price change applies to you. The new price starts at your next renewal; you can cancel before then.
Failed payments. If a renewal payment fails, we may pause your access until it's resolved.
7. Cancelling
You can cancel at any time from your account page on infinityproblem.com or by emailing contact@infinityproblem.com. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period, and you keep access until then. Payments are non-refundable; see the Refund & Cancellation Policy.
8. Licences: what you may do with what you get
Sample packs. We grant you a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use the samples in your own musical works and productions, including commercially released music, performances, video and sync. This licence is perpetual for samples you downloaded while your membership was active, and it continues after you cancel. You may not redistribute, sell, share or give away the samples on their own or as part of another sample pack, loop kit, preset library, sample instrument or similar product, whether or not they've been modified. You may not register the samples themselves with Content ID or any similar system.
Plugins and Manifold. While your membership is active, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use our plugins and Manifold on up to two computers that you own or control. You may use them to make music commercially. You may not share, resell, sublicense or redistribute them, or reverse engineer, decompile or modify them except where the law allows. This licence ends when your membership ends, and you must stop using and uninstall them at that point. Music you made with them while a member is yours to keep and release.
Courses, SIM and the catalog. Lessons, SIM and the music catalog are for your personal, non-commercial use while your membership is active. Don't download, record, copy, share or republish lessons or music except through features we provide. Unreleased records you get early access to are confidential until their public release; leaking or sharing them is a breach of these Terms.
9. Ownership
Everything on the site and in the membership, including lessons, samples, plugins, Manifold, SIM, music, artwork, text and the Infinity Problem name and logo, belongs to Infinity Problem LLC or its licensors and is protected by copyright and trademark law. These Terms give you only the licences described above.
10. Acceptable use
Don't break the site or the law. In particular, don't: share or sell account access; scrape, bulk-download or mirror content; get around access controls, download links or licence limits; upload malware; harass anyone; or use the content to build a competing product or train a machine-learning model.
11. Demo submissions and feedback
If you send us music through /submissions, you keep all rights to it. You give us permission only to listen to it and to contact you about it. We don't have to respond, release anything or keep submissions confidential beyond what our Privacy Policy says. Any release or other deal would be a separate written agreement. We receive a lot of music and ideas; if we put out something similar to your submission, that doesn't by itself mean we used yours.
If you send us feedback or suggestions, we may use them without owing you anything.
12. SIM
SIM answers questions only from the Infinity Problem lesson library and links to the relevant lesson. It's a study aid, not professional, technical or legal advice, and its answers may be incomplete.
13. Third-party software and trademarks
Ableton and Ableton Live are trademarks of Ableton AG. VST is a trademark of Steinberg Media Technologies GmbH. Infinity Problem is not affiliated with or endorsed by either company. You need your own licence for Ableton Live or any other software the lessons use; it isn't included. Our plugins are VST3 and currently support macOS on Apple silicon; Windows support is planned. We don't guarantee compatibility with every computer, operating system or host.
14. Disclaimers
The site and membership are provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We don't promise the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that following the lessons will produce any particular result.
15. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Infinity Problem LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data or music, arising from your use of the site or membership. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you.
16. Indemnity
If someone brings a claim against us because you broke these Terms or misused the content, you agree to cover our reasonable costs of dealing with it.
17. Ending your access
We may suspend or end your membership if you break these Terms, for example by sharing your account or redistributing content. If we end it for a reason other than your breach, we'll refund the unused part of any prepaid period.
18. Disputes and governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oregon. If you have a problem, email contact@infinityproblem.com first; we'll try to resolve it within 30 days. If we can't, either of us may bring a claim in small claims court where it qualifies. Otherwise, claims must be brought in the state or federal courts located in Deschutes County, Oregon, and both of us consent to their jurisdiction.
19. General
If part of these Terms is unenforceable, the rest still applies. Our not enforcing a term isn't a waiver. You can't transfer your membership or these Terms; we may transfer them as part of a sale or reorganization of the business. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and Refund & Cancellation Policy, are the whole agreement between us about the site and membership.
